Today is the due date for the last journal entry. I am finished with my senior project and now we are working on presentation. We are really close to graduating which is really crazy. All I can really say is that this has been an interesting experience. I am just happy to be done with mostly all of it, because it was a lot of hard work. I am also glad I learned many things along the way.

Today we did our first practice runs-through for our presentations. Surprisingly, I made it over the goal of 10 min by 2 min. I was happy I made it over time, but I need a lot of improvement still. I was too nervous and kept falling through my flow. I thought I did a pretty decent job having little time to prepare. I am not looking forward to presenting to a crowd or judges.
Today I have finished my last drawing of the U.S. side. I've now have one more drawing for the rest of the factions. I also added more detail to Eisenhower's face so it looks way better. I now plan on going to the Japanese and finishing that portion of the image. Also, I need to add more detail to Emperor Hiro Hito's face. I am now super close to being done then All I have left to do would be to blend all the images together so It doesn't look so rough.
I have finished my concentration camp. It's a little rough because outside is pretty hard to draw, as well as trying get all the details in on the canvas. I am now moving on to finish one of my last drawings for the U.S. I plan on drawing a couple ships and a bunch of planes in the sky to fully show the U.S. firepower at that time.
Today I got finished with my Soviet soldier holding a flag over Berlin. It looks pretty good, Now I'm moving on to my concentration camp to finally finish that as well. So far I have it sketched out. All I need to do is put in the final details. I have around 4/5ish images left to go. I am so close to being done and can't wait for it all to be over.
My beach perspective of D-Day came out great, my next drawing will be the flag raising over Iwo Jima, Then hopefully I will be able to finish my drawing of the Russian flag raising over Berlin. Hopefully I'll have time to finish, I have confidence and don't want to rush things. I still need to add a few things to the German part of the drawing. I can't wait for it all to be done and over with.
Lately I've been drawing for around 3 hours a day during this month of March since I've been on my own. So far the drawings have been looking really good and I've been enjoying drawing this big project. Color added to it would be nice in the future, but for now it's going to be one magnificent drawing. I have drawn Stalin, and a bunch of things that represent each side. My next drawing will be a image of D-day from the beach perspective.
My senior project mentor has quit his job and now we have different schedules so its hard to meet. I have taken my project home and have gotten lots done with it. Also, due to lack of time I am now drawing it instead of painting. Without my mentor I don't feel comfortable with my painting skills, so I got an OK to draw it instead which I am way better at.
Today is when the journals are due. So far my Senior Project is going slowly but surely. I plan on meeting my Senior Project mentor here soon. I have lots of work I need to get done in such small time. Most surely I will get my project done, but it's the matter of painting it, which hopefully I have enough time. Otherwise, I have faith in myself even if it's all stressful, I'll make it work.Today I worked on my Senior Project after I got off work. I am now finishing up a concentration camp. When I was working on it, I thought of how torturous it would have been to live like that. I just don't know how humans were possibly capable of doing that to others, especially happening less than a hundred years ago. Overall my drawings so far have been going good. |
